Saint Gabriels Celestial Brass Band is honored to have been invited to perform a New Orleasn Second Line Homegoing Celebration by the family of Mr. Bubba Banks, of San Francisco, a prominent member of the San Francisco Community for many years and the father of the Mayor. We will lead the procession with a Big Ten Piece Band and 2 Grand Marshalls, Tom Wiggins and Rasa Vitalia for added Color Tom Wiggins & Rasa Vitalia, followed by a Horse drawn Carriage, and a mounted patrol of the Black Cowboys association on horseback, and family and friends. It will begin at McAllister St and Filmore at 3:00 pm on October 14th, 2021. We will lead the procession up to Geary St.,then we will move it over to Evans and Third Street and do it again up to Jamestown St. Well wisher are invited to come out at either site or along the route, and join the Second Line Celebration of Mr. Banks Life. Any horn players familiar with the New Orleasn Second Line music are welcome to join the procession and play along at either site as well. If you join us please wear Dress Black pants and white shirts or a Black Suit as there will be video filming and we would like to keep the band looking sharp and professional for the family's memories.
